Ronny Zaman is a prominent businessman who is perhaps best known as a director of a private bank that was established by his father, the seasoned business leader and politician Mr Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu. Having diversified his business interests substantially over the years, today Mr Zaman has interests in a variety of industries. He also serves as chairman of Navana Pharmaceuticals Plc, Anowara Construction Limited and Gas One.

Despite the significant success Ronny Zaman and his father went on to achieve pioneering the financial services industry, Mr Zaman’s early beginnings were relatively humble. Born in a small town, his resources may have been limited in those early days, but his dreams and ambitions were boundless. Ronny Zaman’s family instilled in him the importance of hard work and perseverance early on, encouraging him to pursue his education fervently.

Ronny Zaman attended Sherbourne School in Dorset, England. Upon completing his schooling, he crossed the Atlantic, studying for his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Palm Beach Atlantic College in Florida, USA. It was simultaneously with his studies that Ronny Zaman embarked on his entrepreneurial journey, dabbling with various business ventures and learning some valuable lessons along the way. Mr Zaman’s big break came with a tech company he founded that quickly gained traction thanks to his sound business acumen and innovative mindset.

Outside of work, Ronny Zaman enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, travelling and watching movies. Mr Zaman has been fortunate enough to visit numerous far-flung destinations, including making the journey all the way from the Arctic to Antarctica. Despite his busy work schedule, he recognises all too well the importance of achieving a healthy and sustainable work-life balance. He also likes to keep fit, participating in a range of sports to let off steam and improve his physical health, including playing badminton, squash and tennis.
